Short answer: Published Singapore guides put most SEO at S$500 to S$3,000 a month. Basic agency packages start around S$400 to S$700 a month, entry plans run about S$500 to S$1,500, and most SMEs land between S$1,500 and S$3,000. Competition, the number of keywords and pages, your site's condition and link building move the price.
RankRight writes these guides from Google's own documentation and published Singapore price guides; each figure links to where it comes from.
The published ranges
Three Singapore price guides, read on 14 October 2026:
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| OOM | Basic agency package: S$400 to S$700 a month. Overall range: about S$300 to S$3,000 a month or more, by scope. |
| Digital Marketing Agency | Most businesses: S$500 to S$3,000 a month. Entry plans: about S$500 to S$1,500. Competitive markets: S$1,500 to S$3,000. |
| Roots Digital | Typical retainer: S$500 to S$5,000+ a month, with most SMEs at S$1,500 to S$3,000. |
The guides agree more than they differ. A small local business is usually quoted somewhere between S$400 and S$1,500 a month; a business in a crowded market, or one that wants to rank for many searches, pays more.
What moves the price
Roots Digital lists the factors that push a quote up or down. In short:
- Competition. Finance, legal and e-commerce cost more because rivals are spending heavily. A quiet local niche is far cheaper.
- How many keywords and pages. Five to ten core searches cost less than fifty.
- Your site’s condition. Slow pages, crawl errors and a messy structure have to be fixed first.
- Local versus national. Local SEO for Singapore customers is generally the cheaper end.
- Content. Often the largest line item.
- Links. Proper link building takes outreach hours. Guides that price individual links quote S$150 to S$1,500 a link (Digital Marketing Agency), which is why a cheap package promising dozens of links deserves a closer look.
Contract length changes the monthly figure
One Singapore agency publishes its own plans side by side (Digital Marketing Agency). Its entry plan is S$600 a month on 12 months, S$686 on 6 months, S$771 quarterly and S$857 month to month. Longer commitments are cheaper per month, so compare quotes on the same term, and read what you can cancel and when.
What the price should buy for a local business
For a salon, a trade company, a workshop or a tuition centre, the work that matters most is usually:
- The map pack. All six Singapore trade searches we checked on mobile on 14 October 2026 showed one. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you are in it.
- A page for each main service and area with real search demand.
- The basics from Google’s starter guide: clear titles, pages linked together, a sitemap submitted to Google and Bing.
- Reviews, asked for properly. Google counts them as part of how well-known a business is.
If a quote is mostly reports, “keyword density” or links from sites you have never heard of, ask what each line does for those four.
What no price buys
A guaranteed ranking. Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, and that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking (Google). Paying more buys more work, not a position.
The cheapest option
Google says a small local business can probably do much of the work itself, starting from its SEO starter guide (Google). If you would rather have it done, the fairest way to price it is against your own results: see where you show today, then pay for what moves that. RankRight does that check free.
